The Fastest Way to Mine

~For 1.13 or end game in 1.9~

There are soooo many ways to mine quickly, and this technique focuses on finding certain ores, like diamonds.

This mainly works in 1.13, the Aquatic Update (I'll get to how to do it in 1.9+ in a bit). It uses the fact that when you sprint when in water, you basically become one block tall. If you dig down to layer y = 11 (The best layer for diamonds, check your f3 menu to see what Y you are at), you can place down a water bucket right above your head. Now, if you sprint, you'll start diving, and you can mine out a 1x1 tunnel and swim through it. DO NOT mine the block above you, or you'll have to redo everything. Get out of the water stream as fast as you can by digging sideways. Then, if you don't mine above you, you will be able to see in the 1 block space, and breathe, but technically your head is in the block above. then, if you mine ahead, for every block you mine, you will expose 5 new blocks, instead of mining 2 blocks and exposing 8. So, mining in a one block space exposes more blocks per blocks mined than a 2 block tunnel, since it is a lot faster to mine just one block. The way to do this in 1.9 involves elytras. When you fly with an elytra, you become one block tall as well. One way to do this is to dig a tunnel down to layer 11, preferably straight down, and fill it up with water. if you elytra into the water, you will continue elytraing. So, if you don't touch the ground, you can swim all the way to layer 11 and into a 1 block space. Be careful, since as soon as you land on the ground you stop elytraing and becoume 2 blocks tall again. If you succeed, you can get out of the water and you will be in a 1 block space safely. ~NOTE: you will probably need a potion of water breathing for this!~
